Requirements

• Microsoft Office Excel 2010
  
  Prerequisites (will auto install if not on your pc already)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 4 Client Profile
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime
• Windows Installer 3.1

Installation

• Close Microsoft Excel
• Rename SmartOfficeCompare2ColumnsSetup.ms_ to SmartOfficeCompare2ColumnsSetup.msi
• Run SmartOfficeCompare2ColumnsSetup.msi
• Start Microsoft Excel

Find the Smart Office ribbon tab to start using the Data Management tools

Clean Cells

• Pre & Post Spaces
  Remove any extra spaces starting and ending cell content in each selected cell
• Double Spaces
  Reduce any double spaces between words in each selected cell to single space
• Remove x characters (left or right)
  Remove x number of characters from the left/right of cell contents in each selected cell
• Keep x characters (left or right)
  Keep x characters from the left/right of cell content in each selected cell

Text

• Sentence case
  Change first letter in each cell to UPPERCASE and the rest to lowercase
• lovercase
  Change all characters to lowercase letters in each selected cell
• UPPERCASE
  Change all characters to UPPERCASE LETTERS in each selected cell
• Capitalize Each Word
  Change All First Letters To Uppercase In Each Selected Cell
• tOOGLE cASE
  Change all uppercase letters to lowercase letters and vice versa in each selected cell
• UpperCamelCase
  Starting each word with Uppercase and concatinating them (remove spaces) in each selected cell
• lowerCamelCase
  Starting each word but the first with Uppercase and concatinating them (remove spaces) in each selected cell
• Under_scored
  Replace spaces with underscores in each selected cell

Numbers

• Convert text-numbers to numbers
  Convert numbers entered as text into real numbers. Usually an issue when importing data from other systems
• Convert numbers to text
  Convert real numbers into numbers entered as text
• Convert post negative numbers
  Convert post negative numbers 123- into real numbers -123. Usually an issue when importing data from other systems
• Invert numbers
  Invert numbers from negative to positive ( -123 to 123 ) and from positive to negative ( 123 to -123 )
